I'm using one in my backpack inside of my laptop case, another inside my smart leather wallet - lost my wallet about a month ago and learned my lesson

Airtag is one of the best inventions out there for someone with a fish memory as mine. I got myself high quality smart wallet and put the Airtag inside, no more "Where is my wallet???" Haha.

Can’t wait to lose my bag, notify someone saying they have found my lost bag, and then they remove the battery from the AirTag so it can’t be traced and take all my stuff 😂

The replaceable battery alone has won me over. I’ve been using Tile’s tiles and I’ve become reluctant each year at replacing them even though they offer a discounted price for replacement.

I think this is a great idea but not only for backpacks or dogs or wallets this can be very good for vehicles to track them, when someone robs it you can find where is it, and when you park your vehicle and you don’t find it this is very helpful

The only problem I see with the security feature is when someone steals whatever your AirTag is attached to. They'll get notified because the tag thinks it's following them, find the tag and get rid of it.

I saw someone suggest this for dog collars as well! If you dog is ever lost you can use the gps or the “lost message” thing to help try and get them back! Definitely going to look into this more!

I recently got my first iDevice in at least 10 years. iPad Mini 6 5G, for my Sound Quality truck. But, this got me to realize I can now use Airtags. So I will be putting an Airtag in the frame of both trucks, my gooseneck, and inside of a few expensive cases I bring with me to shows / events. 10/10 way to track things.

They should add an option to change those messages to "Warm, Warmer, Hot, Hotter, Really Hot" and the same for cold.

Imagine someone buys the 450$ Hermes airtag and puts it in their wallet or something. If they lose that someone is probably gonna take the airtag and not the wallet

The strap for eyeglasses is actually a great idea. I lost a couple pairs of Oakley sunglasses on hikes in the mountains in the past. This would have been a godsend.

I think a nice feature would be to mark a tag as "on my person" and then if it gets separated far enough from you the phone would chime. If you got like pickpocketed or your bag got snatched when you weren't looking.

Imagine if the Air Tag had a distress signal that would notify nearby iPhones to come looking for your lost bag. Could be useful but could also basically invite thieves to just snack the whole bag and toss the Air Tag

So me and my girlfriend have owned this for near six months and as a couple who forgets EVERYTHING this has been a godsend. In fact I bought a new iPhone for the tracking features keep in mind older iPhones can now use the noise feature and the find my but it won’t give you the arrow tracking. I’ll be honest the arrow tracking isn’t that good but it is somewhat helpful. Our only worry with the real stalking features we are afraid some of the features will disappear soon. But it’s so nice if I forget my keys and I leave the house it will tell me. I got this on my keys, badge and wallet

Good Job! I came here to learn what an air tag was. I checked two other videos and quit watching because there was no info but a lot of cherp. In 5 seconds I knew what an air tag was, how to us it, how much, ho2 big it was and a bunch of stuff never would have thought of. Great communicator.

If this thing can be customised to be used in a pet collar (which I know it eventually would), then it's a very intuitive way to keep track of your pets' activity when you're away from home or to simply find them if they get lost.

This is like the scene from Batman where they get all the mobile phones to find the Joker and Morgan Freeman was like “this is too much power for one person”, except it’s not the Joker you’re looking for it’s the keys that you forgot you left in your jeans pocket.

speaking of airpods, they should really implement this tech into the next gen airpods case.

Was hoping this device might be useful for real-time pet tracking, but the precision find range is sadly too little. I did a quick test and the tag was out of range before I got to the end of my own driveway < 50 feet). If the range was (say) 150 feet it would be MUCH more useful from this perspective. At least I could walk around the neighborhood with a pretty good chance of getting close enough for a precision find. As it stands, and if I understand correctly, as soon as my pet goes beyond the Bluetooth range of this device (50 feet or less by my own test) I would need to put the tag into 'Lost' mode, and then it would be a crap-shoot .. dependent on another person happening across my tag and following through by contacting me?

I think the best possible use for these tags would be using it for pets like dogs or cats. You'll never lose your pet :)

Another difference between the AirTag and a good old luggage tag: "Hey look at that luggage tag, I'm gonna steal it" - said no one ever.

Apple doesn't use prefix "i" anymore. Now everything is prefixed with "air".
