I only use tablets as in flight entertainment on airplanes. It has to be able to clip into the seat in front of me.

You also can't install programming software like arduino and PIC microcontroller on tablets like that. I'll go back to windows computers. Again to build a programming systems.

Artist here and I use Procreate for drawing, looking at getting Procreate Dreams for some animation. I’ve collected a massive photo reference library that I then pull full to create reference boards for whatever project I’m working on. I’ve also started learning Nomad Sculpt to try out some 3D modeling. And I’ve been able to work on my picture book project: writing the story, designing the characters, and formatting the page layout in Affinity Publisher 2. And all from the comfort of my couch.

mostly an extended display for my macbook and just somewhere else to put large downloads temporarily. i have a 6th gen ipad i got from my older sister, it has 32gb of storage (absolutely abysmal, 2/3 of it is taken by ipados). but, the battery is still pretty good, decent standby time and ipados 17 runs quite smooth on it.

I just draw on it. Funny thing is that alot of people i know use their tablets to take notes in classes and such, but i still write my notes on actual paper. I just dont like writing quickly on a digital screen. It skeeves me out. Id rather type than write digitally if i didnt have paper.

I use my tablet for basically reading and other media browsing while in bed, yes I have my phone and laptop that I could use but a tablet is kind of the sweet spot in terms size and features.

As an IT professional, I carry a tablet when I visit clients. My workload is Teams calls, Word editing, PPT, web browsing, and emails. When at home, I use tablet for Emails and Teams call. My laptop is forsoftware development and software documentation and diagraming purposes. Most convenient thing I find in tablets is ability to scribble notes and use pen to explain stuff when on calls

I have Xiaomi Tab 5. It's one of best value tech I ever bought. I use it to watch videos or read, or play some games, when I want to relax in my sofa and phone screen is just too small. I also use it for Linux Systems administration (SSH) when I'm on the move. It definitely has it's place in my household.

A nice tablet is one of those things where it's like. Sometimes it would be nice to have without having to pull out a laptop to do something slightly irritating on the phones sized screen but also $700 plus accessories just can't ever really be justified. Next generation though. My daughter has a laptop that folds into a tablet and almost always just has it as a tablet. Basically never has it as a laptop unless she's playing some specific games

7:03 as a college student, I see not my peers and myself using iPads for taking notes and multitasking during class, it is extremely useful and easy to transfer notes to my laptop as well
